Elms Farm miniature donkeys have gone to Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, North and South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Massachusetts, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma, Montana, Washington State, Oregon, California, and Arizona.
This page shows some of the donkeys we have sold, to give you an idea of the quality minis we have. All of the donkeys on this page have already been sold. Please contact us if you have an interest in donkeys similar to those pictured here. Between each listing is a link to email us, along with our phone number. We look forward to hearing from you! |

Can't have a nicer gelding! Sunny is very mannerly, easy to lead and halter. Flashy red donkey with lots of white trim on his legs and belly and face. Great temperament. We believe that the geldings are the ambassadors of the miniature donkey breed, and Sunny is an excellent example. A three year old, he has the mental maturity and muscling to train to drive. Would make a nice show donkey with his up-headed look. His red color would ornament any pasture. He has always been in a herd situation, and would make a good companion to a lonely horse as well. He was gelded in mid May and will be ready soon to go to his new home. Want to take Sunny home?

Tequila is one of our wooly miniature donkey jennets. She has lots of long hair, which thins a bit in summer, but she never fully sheds it. In her winter coat, she also has dense curly hair on her neck, and especially on her face. She is very serene, no other word describes her temperament. Great build as well. We just love her, and are very happy to have her in our breeding herd.
Rest in Peace, Tequila. Died December 27, 2012 from eating taxus yew bush.

King of Hearts has an exceptionally fluid movement, and carries his head alertly. He has a a smooth, well muscled body. He has a willing and gentle temperament. He is red, with lots of white highlights. He is an exciting jack, and we are expecting his first foals, arriving in the spring of 2009, to be exceptional.

We
have a few of those special long haired (woolly) jennets on our farm. Whisper is one of
them, a gorgeous 50/50 spotted jennet. We really love her very stocky build, and gentle
temperament. The long hair seems to be accented by her spot pattern, and is so beautiful
on a breezy day. We first saw her at her birth ranch, with her sister. I took a picture
of the two whispering secrets in each other's ear, and just had to have this pair of jennets. Whisper
is never far from her sister/buddy, MGF Tell Me a Tale. Whisper has her first foal at her
side, The Elms Persistent Whisper, a beautiful dark brown jennet foaled in 2008 sired by Black Knight. Whisper will be bred to our spotted woolly jack, MGF
Musketeer, Spring 2009.
Whisper had a super wooly spotted jack in 2010, The

Zodiac
is a super wooly miniature donkey jack. He is named Zodiac because
3 spots on his left hip reminded me of star patterns. He has the
rare trait of long hair, called "wooly" and he has lots of hair.
His mane falls down, and his hair has good texture. He is correctly
built, stocky, with good bone. He has a 50/50 spotted pattern, with
four white hooves, and full black eyeliner on both eyes.
As of August 2011, Zodiac's voice is deepening, he is maturing rapidly
and acting studdy. This jack may be able to breed jennets as early
as this fall. This is a super long haired miniature donkey, his hair
is over 8 inches long. The pictures were taken August 7, 2011, and
you can see he is not shedding his coat. Zodiac has very long hair
on his lower legs, what in the large draft horses are called "feathers".
He is also wider in the chest than this spring, which is a good sign
he is about done growing. Good teeth, and he has good bone, a stocky
build. Good temperament, he is easy to lead and work with, and stood
very patiently for me for the grooming.

Gorgeous!
This is a super wooly jennet. We have been breeding for the wooly
(long haired) trait for a few years now, an uncommon trait in the
miniature donkeys. We are pleased with the results of this match,
and think her a premium jennet. Tequila is spotted, with mostly solid
color, a patch on her leg, and two white hind socks. We have found
that the spotted donkeys can change color a lot from their foal coat
to their mature color, first seen when they are a year old. She started
out paler in her foal coat, but we can now see she is black based.
She shows no cross, and has masses of long hair, bleached an auburn
color during the winter. She has good leg structure, a nice, balanced
movement. Along with all the long hair, she has a greet me at the
gate personality.

is one of our new herd sires. He was a very independent foal, went
all over the field where ever he wanted to go, and so the name. We
kept quiet about him, didn't post him to our web page, just waiting
for him to mature. He has what we want in a herd sire, short coupled,
nice balance, good overall conformation. Very nice temperament, which
is one thing we breed for. Indy has a stocky build, which is unusual
in a small jack. He has good red color, and a pedigree full of donkeys
we have admired. We started to use him as a herd sire in 2010.
Congratulations
Brayfields Miniature Donkeys!

Midnight Miss is a very nice, short coupled, dark
brown miniature donkey jennet. She is gentle as can be. She is a quality
brood jennet, and the mother of 4 foals, all very well conformed. She
is a true black producer by two different jacks, including a black
and white spotted jennet, The Elms Lady in The Mist. She had a foal
in 2010, sold in one week. We have a dozen maiden jennets to join the
breeding herd this spring. We need to make room for them, and that
is the only reason Midnight Miss is for sale. She is a really good
brood jennet.

We have a dozen maiden
jennets old enough to breed this year. We have decided to sell some
of our brood jennets very reasonably, to make room for the young
jennets we have watched grow up. Heather is a wonderful brood jennet.
Her frosted white coat makes her very easy to spot in the field.
She has had only 4 foals, and they have all been very nice, with
rounded hips and good legs and teeth. A good spot, a frosted white,
a black roan and a red/brown roan. She is a great color producer.
Plenty of foals for her to still have, and you couldn't wish for
a sweeter jennet.

on small genetics, we have bred her for 2012

Indy's
first foal, and he looks to be a good'un. Miner's dam, Clementine,
is a superior miniature donkey brood jennet. She has given us a
number of exceptional foals. We used two of her daughters in our
breeding program, and have exported two of her sons. A third son
is also a herd sire. Mini donkeys are supposed to be a stocky,
sturdy breed, well suited to work, and we try to keep to that ideal.
We are happy with this breeding. This little jack has it all, robust
build, good bone, good width to his chest, straight legs.

Great build, and a very interesting rich
color. Rudy is a true black cherry red without the extensive white
points (frosty roan) so typical of the red donkeys. He has been
DNA typed homozygous red. Rudy is an excellent jack to breed to
spots to get the sought after true red and white spot that does
not turn frosted white.

2 for you, if you decide to breed her. She had a foal last year without
any problem. She is in great health, has never had a problem in her
life. Stands for the farrier, leads like a dream, great mother, and
would make a great pet. Donkeys are long lived, someone looking for
a mini donkey to just give you lots of love, Ellie May is your gal.

Super Sweet miniature donkey

with one ear turned to listen to me. If you want

guy for you. Mannerly, and friendly, he is ready
to walk into your field and your heart. He has
been gelded and has fully recovered from that
worst day of his life. With his calm temperament,
and small size would make a good kid's 4h prospect.
We called him Hardy Boy because as a foal his
color was hard to decide on, but now we can see
he is a rich red sorrel color. Hard to resist
is what he is, as cute as can be, and ready to

Galore is a gorgeous black (with cross) miniature donkey jennet. She comes from the great driving and show jack, Motown's Secret, who attained Versatility Hall of Fame (VHOF). Galore has declined to give us any foals, so with regret, we offer her for sale. Perhaps she might do better in a driving program, or just as a pet. Priced to sell at $500.

Black No Cross Jennet - Miniature Donkey |
Sire: Soderglen's
Black Beans, small jet Black, no cross Dam: Crocus of Sun Creek, Gray-Dun
Status: Foaled an all black jennet July 2005, the Elms Black on Black sired by
Chaboom.
She has been bred to The
Elms Rembrandt for spring 2007. Penny is coal black
with brilliant white points. She has a great personality and temperament, and is built wonderfully
as well, wide chest, good bone and stocky build. Penny had a very good show career, placing
high often, before coming to our farm as a brood jennet. Penny has the structure, temperament,
and rich color that make her outstanding on our farm. On top of that, she has proven to
be a superb brood jennet. All of her foals have been exceptional, and were sired by 3 different
jacks. She is the mother of Sheloy's CJ, The Elms Little Black Prince, The Elms The Magician
in Black, and The Elms Black on Black. She has been bred for 2007 to The Elms Rembrandt,
and we expect this foal, again, to be something quite special.

We are happy to have a
fine breeding jack to offer. The Elms Cadbury is full brother to The Elms Foxy Lady and
half brother to Merry Go Round's Rustina, both in our breeding herd. He is full brother
to The Elms King Crimson, now in the Netherlands. We have been breeding with his sire, Fiftyfire,
since 2001 and continue to value him for the wonderful foals he produces. We retain Cadbury's
mother, Clementine,
in our breeding herd as well. These are bloodlines we know well and really like. Cadbury
has good, stocky conformation with the beautiful head and upright carriage that Fiftyfire
gives to his foals. Give him a good look and see how he will fit into your breeding program!

is a quality jennet, bred to The Elms Rembrandt
for 2008. We are keeping her first foal, The Elms Trekker, a wonderful, small, black jack
with a star as a future herd sire. Mink is a daughter of the record selling Black Magic,
and is as straight and correct as can be. Rembrandt’s first foals have been straight, black,
and so cute, so look what you have to look forward to! Update! Hiwest Mink was
ultrasounded by a vet on 7/18/07 to be 60 days in foal (to Rembrandt).
